TikTok Shop UK 5% Commission Categories

TikTok Shop UK charges a 9% commission on most orders, but products in the Electronics categories and selected Beauty & Personal Care sub-categories pay an effective 5%. TikTok publishes the full list in a category file; this guide summarises it, from the file dated September 2025 and checked in October 2026.

Whole category at 5%

  • Household Appliances

Phones & Electronics: 64 of 71 sub-categories at 5%

Almost all of it, including mobile phones, tablets, smart watches, fitness trackers, earphones and headphones, speakers, cameras and lenses, drones, games consoles and video games, projectors, power banks, cables, chargers and adapters, security cameras, VR devices and eReaders.

The 9% exceptions are cases and covers: phone cases, screen protectors and stickers, phone holders and mounts, phone straps and charms, and tablet bags, sleeves, covers, cases, screen protectors, stands and bases.

Computers & Office Equipment: 46 of 73 at 5%

The hardware: laptops, desktop computers, monitors, printers and scanners, keyboards and mice, graphics cards, processors, RAM, SSDs and hard drives, routers, network switches, webcams, label printers and barcode scanners, shredders and laminators, servers and software.

The 9% sub-categories are office and school supplies and accessories: ink and toner, paper and notebooks, labels, tape and adhesives, art supplies, desk organisers, laptop cases and stands, mouse pads, keyboard covers, PC cases and safes.

Beauty & Personal Care: 13 of 116 at 5%

Only the electrical devices: hair dryers, curlers and straighteners, hair trimmers and clippers, electric shavers, hair removal devices, electric eyebrow shapers, electric toothbrushes, oral irrigators, facial and body beauty devices, massage devices, refurbished haircare devices, and Accessories. Make-up, perfume, nail products and the rest pay 9%.

Pre-Owned: 3 of 59 at 5%

Pre-owned mobile phones, smart watches and tablets.

Everything else: 9%

All other categories, including fashion, home, kitchen, toys, sports, pets and food, pay the standard 9%, which includes VAT.

Check your category

Set up your product in the right category in Seller Center: TikTok re-categorises listings in its review process, and the rate follows the category it settles on. On a £200 pair of headphones, 5% is £10.00 against £18.00 at 9%.
