How it works

Choose Poshmark US or Canada, then enter the sale price. Every rate comes from Poshmark’s own fee policies, linked below the calculator, and Canadian GST/HST rates come from the Canada Revenue Agency.

The fee. Poshmark charges one fee per sale, deducted from the final order price before it pays you. In the US it is a flat $2.95 on sales under $15 and 20% on sales of $15 or more. In Canada it is a flat C$3.95 under C$20 and 20% from C$20. Listing is free and there is no monthly fee. The 20% is rounded to the cent.

GST/HST in Canada. Poshmark Canada deducts GST/HST on its fee from your earnings, at the rate for your province: 5% GST in most provinces and the territories, 13% HST in Ontario, 14% in Nova Scotia and 15% in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador and Prince Edward Island. Pick your province and the calculator adds it.

Shipping. The buyer pays shipping with Poshmark’s prepaid label, so the fee is on the item price only and shipping doesn’t appear in your earnings. If you give a shipping discount or another seller discount, enter what it costs you under other costs.

Profit. Add what you paid for the item and any other costs to see your profit and margin on the sale price.

Price to list. Switch to Price to list and enter the earnings you want. The calculator finds the lowest price that gets there, to the cent. It allows for the jump at the threshold: in the US, any price from $15.00 to $15.05 earns less than $14.99 does.

Example

Six sales, US prices in dollars and Canadian prices in Canadian dollars, for a seller in Ontario (13% HST).

FAQ

How much does Poshmark take from a sale?

In the US, Poshmark takes a flat $2.95 on sales under $15 and 20% on sales of $15 or more, so you keep 80%. On a $50 sale the fee is $10.00 and you earn $40.00. There is no listing fee and no monthly fee: Poshmark only charges when an item sells.

Why do I earn less at $15 than at $14.99?

Because the fee changes from a flat $2.95 to 20% at $15. A $14.99 sale earns $12.04, while a $15.00 sale pays a $3.00 fee and earns $12.00. Prices from $15.00 to $15.05 all earn less than $14.99. To earn more than $12.04 you need to list at $15.06 or above.

What are Poshmark’s fees in Canada?

Poshmark Canada takes a flat C$3.95 on sales under C$20 and 20% on sales of C$20 or more. GST/HST on Poshmark’s fee is also deducted from your earnings, at the rate for your province. On a C$50 sale by a seller in Ontario, the fee is C$10.00 plus C$1.30 HST, and you earn C$38.70.

Does Poshmark charge fees on shipping?

No. Under Poshmark’s fee policy the fee is deducted from the final order price, and the buyer pays for shipping with a prepaid label. So the fee is worked out on the item price alone. If you offer a shipping discount or another seller discount, your earnings fall, which you can enter under other costs.

How do I work out what to list an item for?

Choose Price to list and enter the earnings you want. The calculator finds the lowest price that leaves at least that much after Poshmark’s fee, and in Canada after GST/HST on the fee. To earn $30 in the US, list at $37.50. To earn C$30 in Ontario, list at C$38.76.

Does Poshmark charge buyers a fee?

Not in the US at the moment. Poshmark tried a buyer protection fee in 2024 but went back to its original structure on 24 October 2024, removing the buyer fee and returning to $2.95 under $15 and 20% above. Buyers pay the item price, shipping and any sales tax.
