Depop Fees Explained (2026)

Depop no longer charges a selling fee in its three biggest markets. Sellers based in the US, UK and Australia pay payment processing on each sale, and a boosting fee if the item sold through a boosted listing. This guide explains each fee from Depop’s Help Centre, checked in November 2026.
No selling fee
Depop removed its 10% selling fee for US sellers in 2024, and its help page lists no selling fee for sellers based in the UK either. In Australia, selling fees ended from 22 July 2026; Australian buyers now pay a marketplace fee of up to 5% of the item price plus up to A$1.
Sellers elsewhere, selling in other currencies, still pay 10% on the item price (plus shipping without a Depop shipping label) and a PayPal processing fee.
Payment processing
Every sale through Depop Payments pays a processing fee, taken before your payout:

The percentage is charged on the item price plus shipping plus any taxes. A US sale of a $40 item with $6 shipping and $3.68 sales tax pays 3.3% of $49.68 plus $0.45: $2.09. You receive $43.91; the sales tax isn’t yours to keep.
Boosting
Boosting is optional, and the fee is charged only when an item sells through a boosted listing:
- 12% for listings boosted from 23 March 2026, and 8% for boosts created before, for sellers in the US and UK.
- Charged on the item price excluding tax, plus shipping if you didn’t use a Depop shipping label.
On the same $40 + $6 US sale:

A boost can cost more than three times the processing fee, so it’s worth it only if it sells items that wouldn’t sell otherwise.
Refunds
According to Depop’s help page, a refund through Depop Payments reverses the fees on that sale. Postage you’ve paid and the item’s cost stay with you.
