How it works

Enter the item price, and optionally the postage the buyer chose, what you paid for a Bump and what the item cost you. Every figure comes from Vinted’s UK Help Centre and price list, linked below the calculator.

No selling fee. Vinted doesn’t charge sellers to sell. When an order completes, the full item price is paid into your Vinted Balance, so what you receive equals your price.

The Vinted fee. The buyer pays a mandatory Vinted fee at checkout, formerly called the Buyer Protection fee. Vinted’s price list says it is usually 3% to 8% of the item or bundle price plus £0.30 to £0.80. Because that is a range, the calculator shows the lowest and highest fee and the buyer’s total for each. For Vinted Pro sellers, orders of £500 or more pay a flat 3% of the price including VAT instead.

Postage. The buyer picks and pays for delivery at checkout, so postage is added to what they pay, not taken from what you receive.

Bumps and profit. Bumps are optional promotions priced by the item’s price and a 3- or 7-day duration. Enter what you paid, and the item’s cost, to see your profit and margin. The buyer-side fee matters for pricing: a buyer comparing your £20 item with one on another site sees a total of £20.90 to £22.40 before postage.

FAQ

Does Vinted charge sellers a fee?

No. Vinted’s UK Help Centre says there are no selling fees: when an order completes, the full item price goes to your Vinted Balance. A £20 sale puts £20 in your balance. The only costs you pay are optional ones, such as Bumps to promote a listing, and of course what the item cost you.

What is the Vinted fee?

The Vinted fee, which used to be called the Buyer Protection fee, is paid by the buyer at checkout. Vinted’s price list says it is usually 3% to 8% of the item or bundle price plus £0.30 to £0.80. On a £20 item that is between £0.90 and £2.40. It is mandatory on every order made through Vinted.

Why can’t the calculator give the exact buyer fee?

Because Vinted publishes a range, not one rate. The fee is usually between 3% and 8% of the price plus £0.30 to £0.80, and the exact amount appears at checkout. The calculator shows the lowest and highest fee in that range, so you can see what your buyer is likely to pay in total.

What fee do Vinted Pro sellers’ buyers pay?

For Pro sellers, orders under £500 have the same 3% to 8% plus £0.30 to £0.80 range. Orders of £500 or more, including bundles, pay a single 3% of the item price including VAT. A £600 order from a Pro seller carries an £18.00 fee. Tick the Pro box to use that rule.

How much do Bumps cost on Vinted?

A Bump is an optional paid boost for a listing. Its price depends on the item’s price and whether you choose 3 or 7 days, and Vinted shows it when you pay. Lowering the item price during a Bump doesn’t reduce its cost. Enter what you paid to see how it affects your profit.

Who pays postage on Vinted?

The buyer chooses a delivery option and pays for postage at checkout, alongside the item price and the Vinted fee. That is why postage doesn’t reduce what you receive. Enter it in the calculator to see the full amount your buyer pays for the order.
