Etsy Fees in Australia (2026)

Etsy’s fees for Australian shops are simpler than in the UK or Canada: there’s no regulatory operating fee, but GST is added unless you’ve given Etsy a tax ID. This guide covers shops with an Australian bank account, from Etsy’s Help Center, checked in October 2026.

The fees

• Transaction fee: 6.5% of the item price, postage and gift wrap.
• Payment processing: 3% + A$0.25 for domestic orders, 4% + A$0.25 for international orders, on the total sale price including postage.
• Listing fee: US$0.20, converted to Australian dollars at the market rate when charged.
• Offsite Ads: 15%, or 12% for shops with US$10,000 or more in sales in a year, never more than US$100 per order.
• GST: 10% on Etsy’s fees for Australian shops that haven’t added a tax ID, with a monthly invoice. Once a tax ID is added, Etsy stops charging it.
• No regulatory operating fee: Etsy charges one in some countries, such as 0.48% in the UK and 0.50% in Canada, but not Australia.

GST

You must register for GST once your turnover reaches A$75,000 a year. Registered sellers claim back the GST in Etsy’s fees and owe one eleventh of their GST-inclusive Australian sales. See GST for Australian online sellers.

Etsy or eBay in Australia?

eBay.com.au is free for Australian sellers with A$25,000 or less in sales over 12 months and no Pro plan, so small sellers often pay less there. Above that, eBay Pro Starter charges 13.4% plus A$0.30 an order, A$7.00 on the same order. See eBay and Etsy fees in Australia.
