Stripe Fees Explained (US, 2026)

Stripe’s standard pricing has no setup or monthly fees: you pay per successful payment, plus extras for some cards and services. This guide lists each one for US accounts, from Stripe’s pricing page, checked in October 2026. Large businesses can ask Stripe for custom pricing.
Online card payments
- Domestic cards and wallets such as Apple Pay: 2.9% + 30¢. $100 costs $3.20; $10 costs $0.59, 5.9%.
- Cards issued outside the US: +1.5%. $100 costs $4.70.
- Currency conversion needed: +1%. A foreign card charged in another currency: 5.4% + 30¢, $5.70 on $100.
- Manually entered card numbers: +0.5%. $100 costs $3.70.

ACH reaches its $5 cap at $625, so large invoices cost far less by bank debit than by card: a $1,000 invoice is $5.00 by ACH against $29.30 by card. Bank debits take a few days to confirm and can fail if the account has no funds.
Payouts and disputes
- Standard payouts to your bank account: free.
- Instant Payouts, arriving within minutes: 1.5% of the amount, with a 50¢ minimum. Paying out $96.80 instantly costs $1.45.
- Each dispute you receive: $15.00.
Stripe lists other products, such as Billing, Invoicing, Tax and Radar, with their own fees.
What to charge
To receive exactly $100 from a domestic card payment, charge $103.30: 2.9% of that plus 30¢ is $3.30. Check card network rules and your state’s law before passing fees on to customers.
