eBay Canada Fees Explained (2026)

eBay.ca works like eBay in the US, with one difference that matters a lot in Canada: the final value fee is charged on the total including sales tax. This guide covers the fees for sellers registered in Canada without an eBay Store, from eBay’s Selling fees page, checked in October 2026.
The fees on each sale
- Final value fee: a percentage of the total amount of the sale: item price, shipping, handling and sales tax.
- Per-order fee: C$0.30 for sales of C$10 or less, C$0.40 above.
- Listings: 250 free a month, then C$0.30 each.

eBay’s own examples
Both to a buyer in Ontario with 13% HST:
- A C$400 phone with free shipping is a C$452 sale. 13.6% of C$452 plus C$0.40 is C$61.87.
- A C$9,500 trading card is a C$10,735 sale. 13.25% of C$7,500 plus 2.35% of C$3,235 plus C$0.40 is C$1,070.17.

A C$40 item with C$10 shipping, most categories:

Other fees
- International fee: 0.4% for the US and 1% elsewhere, or none with eBay International Shipping on an eligible listing.
- Below Standard: 6% more, or 7% after four consecutive months.
- Promoted Listings: your ad rate, 2% to 100%, on the total sale including shipping and taxes.
- Currency conversion: eBay’s conversion charge is 3.25%.
- Store subscribers get lower rates in many categories; eBay notes that local GST may apply on top of its fees.
