Amazon UK Referral Fees by Category

Amazon.co.uk charges a referral fee on each sale: a percentage of the total sales price, which includes delivery and gift wrap. Each category has its own rate, most charge at least £0.25 per item, and all are quoted excluding VAT. This guide lists the categories from Amazon’s UK pricing page, checked in October 2026.
7% and 8%: electronics and appliances
- Computers, Consumer Electronics, Full-Size Appliances and Tyres: 7%
- Video Game Consoles: 8%, no minimum
10% to 13%
- Beer, Wine, and Spirits: 10%
- Commercial Electrical and Energy Supplies, Handmade, Musical Instruments and AV Production: 12%
- Furniture Accessories, Tools and Home Improvement, Door, Window and Shower Accessories, Home Adhesives and Cable Ties: 13%
15%: most categories
Everything Else, Kitchen, Toys and Games, Sports and Outdoors, Pet Supplies, Office Products, Lawn and Garden, Luggage, Footwear, Eyewear, Mattresses, Compact Appliances, Home Linen and Rugs and others pay 15%. Books, Music, Video and DVD, Software, and Video Games pay 15% with no minimum.
Rates that depend on the price
On the whole price:
- Clothing and Accessories: 5% up to £15, 10% up to £20, 15% above. For FBA and Seller Fulfilled Prime items above £40: 15% of the first £40 and 7% of the rest.
- Baby Products; Beauty, Health and Personal Care: 8% up to £10, 15% above.
- Home Products: 8% up to £20, 15% above.
- Grocery and Gourmet; Pet Clothing and Food; Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements: 5% up to £10, 15% above.
On the part above a threshold:
- Automotive and Powersports: 15% up to £45, 9% above.
- Electronic Accessories: 15% up to £100, 8% above.
- Furniture: 15% up to £175, 10% above.
- Jewellery: 20% up to £225, 5% above.
- Watches: 15% up to £225, 5% above.

VAT on the fees
UK sellers who aren’t VAT-registered pay 20% VAT on top of every referral fee: the £9.00 above becomes £10.80. VAT-registered sellers usually reclaim it, but owe VAT on their sales. See VAT for UK online sellers.
Other fees
- Amazon Device Accessories: 45%.
- Selling plans: Professional £25 a month, or Individual £0.75 per item, excluding VAT.
- Media categories also pay a closing fee, shown in Seller Central.
- FBA adds a fulfilment fee per unit, set by size and weight.
