What it adds to an order
A $25 item in Everything Else on Amazon.com pays a $3.75 referral fee either way. On Individual it pays $0.99 more, $4.74 in total. On Professional, $39.99 spread over 100 orders a month adds $0.40 per order.
What Professional adds besides price
Amazon.ca’s pricing page lists features that only the Professional plan includes, such as:
- advertising your products with Amazon’s on-site ads;
- qualifying for top placement on product detail pages;
- bulk listing tools, feeds, reports and API access;
- applying to sell in restricted categories.
Which to choose
- Testing a few products: Individual, with no monthly cost.
- Selling past the break-even count, or wanting ads: Professional. You can change plans at any time.
